This piece was intended to show longing for something while having to be stoic through the situation. I wanted to show how horses handle pain and loss in a humanized way, a horse will not show any sign of pain until there is no possible way for them to disguise it. I made this piece out of oils so that I could have a vibrant color selection that would stay workable for an extended time. I chose to make the horse a cremello because they are known for being noble and leaders. The blue background was chosen to emphasize the more negative feelings that are affecting the horses.
