Horses have been used in teams for various different tasks for hundreds of years, I wanted to showcase the different personalities of each individual horse through this piece by depicting them together. The horses in this piece are in a modern setting where they would most likely be at a show awaiting their turn to perform. I chose to make this piece with charcoal because I felt it gave me the most realistic way to be able to see the little things that one might not notice in a more washed-out setting.
